Changes to the AGM

At the moment there is an anomaly.  The  committee is elected in March. As the normal visits occur in April/May this means that the planning must be done by the previous committee. The execution of those plans, however , is carried out by the committee elected in March, rather than the old committee.

Also, our president hosting the event is not known until June.

The committee has therefore agreed to extend its period in office to June, to enable it to fulfil its planned hosting activities. At the next AGM (March 2011) a new committee will be elected and will work alongside the old committee until June 2011 when it will take over.

In future the AGM will be held in June (starting June 2012), when a new committee will be elected.

This will be the subject of a proposition at AGM 2011.
